Champ Libre to Editorial Castellote[1]
30 November 1977

Following our many requests, we have [finally] received 9 copies of your edition of La Société du Spectacle. We have read with alarm the mendacious note that you added to it: “This edition of La Société du Spectacle in Castilian is the only one approved by the author, having expressly repudiated all other editions, in particular that of Editions de La Flor, since it includes serious falsifications of the original French version and the author’s thought.”[2] It is false that the author approved of your translation, which contains almost as many mistranslations as that of Editions de La Flor. Your legal gangsterism disqualifies you forever. Thus, you will no longer be allowed the rights to any book by Champ Libre.
