from Guy Debord

To Sean Wilder
12 November 1965
Dear Sean Wilder:

We only know you as an American subscriber to the journal Internationale Situationniste (which is already a very limited elite, unfortunately).

We will soon publish issue #10. There will be an article on the revolt in Los Angeles ["The Decline and Fall of the Spectacle-Commodity Society"].[1] We want to translate it into English so as to make a separate printing.

Can you make this translation? It is a question of eleven typed pages and, I fear, a quite difficult text.

In addition to our warm gratitude, we can offer you all of the old publications of the SI, if they interest you.

Cordially,
Guy Debord

[1] This text would eventually be translated into English by Donald Nicholson-Smith, a member of the Situationist International.
