from Guy Debord

The SI to Jean-Marc Charmillon
23 May 1967
Repugnant Charmillon:

Since you have had the impudence to write to us again recently, we must therefore warn you of the fact that we are obviously up-to-date concerning your stupefyingly despicable conduct at the Bordeaux Congress[1] in favor of the miserable Joyeusist[2] bureaucracy and against our anarchist comrades.

Imbecile, faker, flatterer, frustrated anarchist, Stalinist wannabe, student: try no longer, you bastard, to approach us or say that you know us.

For you, as for the others, the situationists will maintain this position and will make it known today and later on. Henceforth, liar, it is the Garnautin provocateurs[3] with whom you will have to team up.

Situationist International[4]

[3] Translator: the Garnautins (Herbert Holl, Theo Frey and Jean Garnault) were excluded in January 1967.
